either you guys failed to see the sarcasm or you genuinely just want me to jump ship

kinda messed up if it's the latter

A little FYI when you uses sarcasm in a forum.... type LOL or something down the line.

Sarcasm usually comes with a certain tone of voice and since you can't be heard.  What you said had me pissed off fortunately I finished the thread before answering.

haha will definitely keep that in mind next time, but even if the sarcasm was obvious, there's still a lot of huddlers eagerly waiting my departure.

the hate is deep, even though i show nothing but love

My bro-in-law called, and he loves to talk. He talked from mid second quarter until mid third quarter, and then he started talking to my wife until mid fourth quarter on speaker. I wasn't focused for most of the game. I saw enough of the first half to see our Gunter and our defensive backfield get destroyed. Heinicke had a few errant throws but somehow ended up with respectable numbers. He needs to work on his accuracy and decision making. Actually, Kyle Allen looks like the more prototypical pocket QB to me, but I guess we haven't seen much of him for a reason, I guess. After seeing Dobbs last night, I'd consider trading a seventh.

i like frazier

Frazier, to his credit, is arguably the most improved on the team. I mean, I personally am not surprised by Samuel (as I saw the flashes last year), but Frazier's route running and hands look like night and day since last year.

All I can say is that Lance Taylor is getting it done!

QB: Heinicke won the backup spot, and Kyle Allen did enough to warrant a spot on the practice squad.

RB: Although Barner did fairly well, a couple of stupid penalties from Clausell negated his best plays and CAP seems to have won the 3 RB spot. Bonnafon showed some flashes late in the game and might make it onto the practice squad.

OL: Clausell did not have his best night, but overall the OL played well, at least in the first half.

TE: TE Evan Baylis showed good hands and caught five passes. Hopefully he'll be back at training camp next year to compete.

WR: Considering Byrds playing time yesterday, he is on the bubble, not sure if he'll make it. Frazier might end getting picked up by a WR thirsty team. DJ Moore was non existing but I wouldn't worry to much about it.

DL: Obada had a really strong game. Great at stuffing the run, and plenty of raw power and motor to get after the QB. He even dropped into coverage a couple of times and ran down runningbacks like he was a LB. Reminds me a bit of Justin Tuck the way he plays. Great motor! He did get knocked back by the Steelers RB on the last TD, but he was alone against him and the Steelers TE.

Cox Jr. did fairly well too. Hall did not show up until the 4th quarter, so it will be interesting to see what the coaches deside. Compared to Cox Jr and Obada, Hall really lacks some strength which is evident in his runsupport. He has potential but I don't see him make the roster unless we keep 6 DE's

LB: Did not really get a good look at them as I was busy watching the DL, but Jared Norris showed up a couple of times along Mayo. Carter did not have his best night but have shown enough in the other preseason games to make the roster imo.

DB: Worst group I have seen in a long time. Alex Carter(33) did not look like someone fighting for a spot on any NFL roster at all. The Steelers QB went after him a couple of times in a row, and he looked like he had giving up already.

REFS: Bad.. Just bad. We had two really good hits on the QB in a row, but both got called for a penalty. On Steeler defender got called for lowering his helmet as well in a situation where he couldn't do much else. The new rules makes it a lot harder to play defense and we will see some bogus calls this season for sure.

We learned that Kyle Allen is on the team.   He was  25/ 36    250 yrd,   1 TD .   Hadn't seen the field all preseason.

The coaches were letting Allen audition for other teams.

That the coaches already knew , or know , who our back up QB is.

That there was no competition between Heinicke and Gilbert, because the coaches had seen enough in one quarter each.

Now that could mean a few things..  They already knew who was going to be the back up.  Or worse, we're keeping both Heinicke and Gilbert.  Or cutting all , and will just pick up some one cut by other teams ( I don't think that will happen. )

I'm not comfortable with our back up QB situation.   We are in a WIN NOW situation with the key players on this team.  We can't afford to have Cam  go down for a game or two.

Hated seeing E Hood getting carted off.

Game was really hard to watch..   The roughing the passer calls were tough to accept.

Agree that the QB play was bad and is concerning, but it is no worse than Anderson. If Cam goes down our season is over anyway, so I’m not sure it really matters
