No - he's a great player but we need the first round picks to fix our O-line. DW is in a contract year, the better Kalil is retiring, and we're hoping that Van Roten can perform well at LG.

Our window is now with Newton. Call me positive but with Mack on this team over the next two years we are picking in the 20's at worst. Kelvin, Shaq, Vernon Butler, D.J are what we have gotten out of the recent similar level picks. Yeah I'm good trading two of our firsts.

I agree with the notion that the window with Cam and Luke is not going to be open forever.  We can't always be "building for the future" and need to take some calculated risks to get this team a Super Bowl.

So where does the cap space come from to fit him in at 14M THIS YEAR. Then 20+M the next 4-5. There are actual rules we, and every team has to follow. We are already staring at a huge cap hit just to get rid of Kalil. Who are the players that are leaving because we can’t pay them? That will close a window quickly.

The cap is going to increase every year, and other teams (like the Saints) have been supposedly in cap hell for years yet they find ways to get better.
