REPORT: Steelers backup QBs Josh Dobbs and Landry Jones have "garnered interest" from other clubs via trade

I think our owner would have very good insight on both these players.

Don't see it happening but if it does it will be based on inside info not available league wide.

I thought we needed a back up but I actually like what I've seen from both Gilbert & Heinecke

Awful logic.  Just because Cam goes down for a game, or even half the season, doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be ready when it mattered in January/February.  The Eagles even won it all with a backup.  Not to mention the need for a guy like Dobbs to take a load off Cam’s practice reps.

If Cam goes down for more than 2 games we are screwed either way

Don't understand why many of you want to waste a draft pick on a trade for a backup QB just for the case that, if Cam went down, we could still lose but maybe a little more admirably.

If Cam goes down I'd rather tank with GG or Heineken and get a top 5 pick.

It sucks but yeah thats logical. I would absolutely hate it for the good kalil, pep, and davis though. The other side of the coin would be if cams out for a game or two, we would need a win to be in the nfc playoff chase this year.
