Week promises to be eventful for Steelers QB picture. Dobbs starting last preseason game says team still evaluating him. Dobbs and Landry Jones have garnered interest from some NFL teams, I'm told, but Jones a tough trade b/c of experience. So many scenarios can play out

Probably the Steelers aren't happy with the low offers they've gotten and they're trying to manufacture the idea of more teams interested to drive up the price.

I don't think Dobbs is that good.

I'm not too certain Jones is that good either but I'd give up something for him before I would Dobbs (wouldn't be much, though).

Dobbs has a FAR superior physical skill set, age, injury history, and salary to Bridgewater, who himself is not that good, and just commanded a 3rd for one year.  Bridgewater is a good guy but so is Dobbs, an engineering major to boot.

Dobbs may be a superior athlete, but he's not a good quarterback.

There are reasons why the Steelers used a high pick on a quarterback this year despite the fact they already had both of these guys.

Don't understand why many of you want to waste a draft pick on a trade for a backup QB just for the case that, if Cam went down, we could still lose but maybe a little more admirably.

Gilbert and Heinicke have been with a head spinning number of teams.  Why?  Because by your theory AND in reality...they suck!!!

The Vikings have only had one franchise QB in franchise history (four decades ago), were DESPERATE for Teddy to be the savior, then discarded him like used trash after his disastrous injury, and he just commanded a 3rd for one year on a huge salary.

No one has yet to put a more logical solution to this short and long term (by NFL standards) problem than a late pick for Dobbs.
