Saints trade 3rd round pick for Bridgewater - what would your reaction have been if Hurney did the same?

I'd be livid. $6M cap hit and a 3rd rounder for a guy on a 1 year deal we could've just signed in free agency. And while I would like Teddy as a solid backup for the right price, he couldn't lead us to a Super Bowl so if Cam went down there's no difference between Teddy and Heineken...

Wouldve loved it, IF we could lock him up for a couple more seasons (he's on a 1 year deal)

We have 2 3rds this upcoming draft due to Norwell.

We come out with one of the better backups in this league and still have a normal set of picks

Yeah, I agree. would not have been good value for us.

I'd be super pissed. That would eat up every bit of our available cap space for a player we'd be desperately hoping never stepped on the field... not to mention giving up a 3rd round draft pick... not to mention not having him signed beyond this season. It would've been a terrible move for us. It's not a great move for the Saints considering they could've just signed him off the street a few months ago, but at least they can evaluate him and determine if he can be place holder for once Brees retires.

Not to mention they now have very few picks in the top 100 next years draft.

I'd be livid as well especially since no one is taking into consideration they traded their first round also lol. They only gave a second round pick if I remember correctly that's ridiculous for TB. But let's be clear he's no dam Taylor Henk he's had 65% completion seasons starting in the NFL. Taylor would look like David Carr/Jimmy Clausen out on that field don't be confused  about what it takes to perform in the league.
