Alex Carter making the 53 would be a major surprise.

Absolutely. I hadn't even been considering him for PS.  I assume it's PS or nothing. We're too tight on roster spots for other guys like Hall, Norton, Andre Smith, Byrd, CAP, Doss....

Maybe it's just Eugene talking, but I do wonder if this is a subtle "shot" at anyone on the offense.  Only person I could think of it fitting would be Funch...in a contract year, he's going to want A LOT of targets, and rightfully so financially.

Samuel, prove yourself.  Moore, a rookie. Torrey, happy to be here vet.  Wright, 3rd down guy. CMC will get a ton of touches and Olsen is Olsen.

I got that idea too--then I thought about RB---"touches" is usually a term used for them--while it could apply to WR, I might use "targets" there.

A 1000 yard rusher playing behind CMC--RR announced that he would be the workhorse....

If anyone knows about being around a pro, it's Eugene. He can really identify which pro's suck and will be walking the street. Conversely, he can identify which pro's should be paid for their services.

Plus, he's been to a super bowl so he knows what it takes as far as mindset prior to the big game.

I hope this means “Torrey Smith’s role is to provide vet leadership and mentor the young guys. I hope he doesn’t get butthurt at his lack of snaps.” Knowing our team though, it’s probably more of a message to our younger guys; “The guy getting the snaps has earned it based on age and contract, never mind the lack of production.”

kind of feel the same way about mick...terrific character guy...just awful on the radio...he was terrible at Carolina as well

mick would be great as PR director for the team...just get him off the braodcasts

Now that Jerry's gone, what are the chances we could get Rosinski back?  He was great.  Agree that Mick needs to go.

I had to stop and rewind the last two games to make sure I heard what I thought I heard him say. Something about Ron Rivera's ample chest, and then commenting that our players were getting, "oiled up and making their presence felt..." Gross.
