Let's be real...OBJ is worth about 15 million.  12 if we're being honest and taking into account the position. That said, Sammy Watkins, who was also mentioned getting 16, should be worth 8. Contracts might eventually re-set themselves if the league does ever actually start to falter, but the constant climbing is just going to continue making the cap rise and salaries get crazy, position be damned. Percentage of the cap means more than the salaries anyway. 

Also...Cam's next contract?  Yeah, bank on 35 million.

OBJ is the face of the NFL on an international stage.

I mean I guess you can use Instagram as a metric, I wouldn’t call it the end all be all though. I would imagine a large part of that disparity is the difference between NYC and Charlotte.  In any case, if OBJ is the face of the nfl on the international stage that’s not a good look.  He has no charisma and is a punk ass bitch.

Odell should NOT be getting paid more than Antonio Brown is. Makes me really scratch my head as to what was told to Gettleman to make him finally decide to open up a team's wallet and pour it out on one player. Talk about a major shift compared to how he handled things here with Norman. Damn, $90 million dollar contract over 5 years with 62.78% of it guaranteed to him no matter what. I can just imagine what Brown is saying to his own agent right now with his $68 Million 4 years with only 27.94% guaranteed contract. Oh yeah and might as well say I'm pretty sure the Falcons loved seeing that number as well considering the rumblings from Julio Jones before preseason lol.

My my personal opinion of Odell is that he’s a drama queen. I don’t like him. Yes I’m biased based on that. But I don’t think he’s that great either. What is the metric you are using to determine that he’s a top wr in the league? 

 

I know he’s a “star.” But that’s because the media really pushed his one handed catch as something amazing. Sure it was good, but we’ve seen Olsen and others make great 1 handed catches. Olsen made nfl history. I would bet that if the media went to gushing over him like they gush over that girly boy Olsen would be just as popular if not more so.

has Odell made history? Is he even a top 10 receiver?

are receivers worth more than top tier linebackers?

Remember. The media is powerful. It elects presidents and controls narratives. I don’t trust any “star” from the TV set.

      I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team. 😛

      bold prediction, I think Mike Green will be the best pass rusher in this class, and thats even with abdul carter.  He reminds me of demarcus ware, not just in size and prowess, but even coming from a Sunbelt school (Ware from Troy, Green from Marshall).  I think he is passionate about the sport where I think Carter as the physical freak might not have the heart.  Thats the guy Im sold on and am gonna hammer the table for, I know he's not projected 8, but he is projected like 12-13, so if a slide back can happen and we still get the guy I want, I'm 100% on board. All that said, it takes 2 to tango, I think the Cowboys are the tango-er.  IMO theres a VERY good shot that Jeanty is available at 8.  Why does that matter?  Not only do the cowboys NEED a runningback (dak sucks without a run game), but MORE importantly, gee where did Jeanty play in high school.....Frisco TX, literally Dallas Metro.  Soo, RB is a position of need and the best RB and most blue chip draft selection that  could improve the offense immensly played IN dallas metro AND will be in range for them to move up and pick?  Do ya think Jerry Jones is gonna just say no to the Jersey Sales?  Jerry might have sexually assaulted a woman and attempted to prevent black people from going to school, but he's no idiot (he is).  IMO, we get a good enough package, prlly their first and third,  maybe a conditional later and we move to 12.  We get Green, they get Jeanty, everbuddy happy.
