Until we prove we can actually have back to back winning seasons are we truly “overlooked” for getting picked to not have a winning season?

Pretty much. It sucks being overlooked, but until we prove otherwise, there's no reason for anyone to expect anything other than inconsistency from us.

Really hoping that changes under Tepper.

I wouldn't be stunned if we went 7-9. The NFCS is brutal and we have a tough schedule. We have major o-line injuries and the season hasn't even started. We're going to need to lean on young players in our offense at skill positions. Very risky. We don't have a dominant defense. I doubt our offense will be explosive compared to say the Saints and Falcons. I'm thinking maybe 9-7, but I wouldn't fall over dead at 7-9. This doesn't look like a SB roster or anything, but we should have a decent season. We have enough talent to try and squeak into the playoffs imo.

Not surprised, I have Panthers to finish 8-8...........Newton is only one play away from trying to extend a play or make a crazy dive for a first down that could get him injured or knocked out of playing much of the season.

There is no place for QBs in this league that make themselves targets......they are playing with fire.....

Cam looks very healthy, especially his arm, which was clearly bothered by that shoulder surgery for most of last season. The ball is "exploding" off his fingertips and he's able to zip it without having his feet set again. His pocket awareness, the way he seems to be feeling rushers and then getting the ball out has reached another level. I've felt for years that Cam has never gotten great offensive coaching in the NFL. Chudzinski was more interested in his own career than Cam's development and Shula was ..... Shula. Whatever you may think of Norv overall has a coach or coordinator, there's no doubting he knows how to get the most out of his quarterbacks.

Anyway, that's a long winded way of me saying that the league better watch the fug out because as Cam goes, so does the Panthers, and he's set for a BIG year.

We really got to get away from this "back to back winning seasons" mess some of us get caught up in. Any given Sunday. We look good in paper and in person. We actually took steps to get better for a change, and I mean real steps in regards to addressing holes and weaknesses. It's okay to be optimistic.

I get the feeling Jerry Richardson was perfectly content being an average .500 franchise as long as he made big bucks and was able to keep his cultural of harassment and NDAs in tact.

Tepper could be the best thing to happen to this franchise since JR tanked and lucked out with Cam.

NO is the team to beat for the division title.  Falcons could hurt our chances along the way if our defense starts to show it's age.  I'm feeling a second place finish in the division is on the horizon unless some of these rookies step up along they way.  Anymore injuries and they could quit possibly be fighting with the Bucs for 3rd place in the NFCS.
