Belichick not happy with preseason loss to Panthers

That’s because outside of the score we owned them and even the GOAT didnt look great against our defense. I would have been upset too.

Yeah it's not that he cares at all about win/loss but we handled them with ease the entire first half. Only thing he should be happy with is their red zone D though we were clearly just calling vanilla plays there--several runs up the middle in a row with McCaffrey...

My buddy and I kept tabs on B.B. last night at the game. It was really pretty comical in the second half. He sat there with his arms folded and would only unfold them to write a couple notes on an index card. We were joking that no player would come within 10 yards of him on the sideline. The was a constant void around him. If he would walk the players parted like the Red Sea. We were joking that anyone caught within 5 yards of him was probably automatically cut. It was fun to watch.

FWIW the 3rd game with the Pats is a pretty good barometer of where we are IMO.  In 14, we got destroyed and looked incredibly weak.  In 2015 we hung with them and looked solid.  Hopefully, this is an indicator of where we are at as a football team.

I actually wondered if he was at the game - I don't think the broadcast I watched ever showed him.

When history tells the story of the Pats, I hope they mention they played what may be the worst opposition in a division over a 15 year span ever.

Granted they had to win the games, but to be automatically handed a guaranteed playoff spot each year because you rivals are trash should be taken into account.
