I don't like playing preseason games on Friday night because of HS football conflicts

Does anyone know how the decision is made whether to play on Thursday night or Friday night (or another night)? I wish high school athletes got these opening games on their calendar to themselves and they didn't have to compete with the local NFL team for attention.

I DVR the Panther Friday night games because i'm not missing my high school games for a pre season pro game.

I mean... it’s just preseason.  I doubt it takes any more attention away from HS football than normal.

It's two nights actually this year (Friday night game last week too) which is nearly 20% of a local team's entire schedule.

I think you think I'm attacking the team when I'm not. Just curious as to how and why the Friday games are played on Fridays.
