I used to say the same thing, but a good look increases your national fan base. If you win and kids like your look, you develop fans for life.  That gives you an advantage when you travel--like NE, Pittsburgh, Green Bay,  I wonder how many kids across the country would flock to the Browns' merchandise page? Orange and Brown?   How do you support the Bucs with those awful costumes?

All of my kids are Panther fans and I promise you it isn't because of the uniforms. I took them to games, taught them about football and we shared lots of good times including going to the Superbowl in San Fran. I admit to being old school but laugh at folks who decide what team to root for based on which uniform looks coolest. Gee maybe we should change our mascot because it is  bad luck and only one color. Or let's be the rainbow colored Panthers so we can be inclusive and colorful.

As much as I'm all aboard the Tepper Train, I'd say these recent shake-ups have more to do with a new equipment manager than anything.
