Article on potential trades for backup QB's(Panthers listed)

This happens every year.  The big market team (writers) try to look for a home for their cast offs so they can get something in return before cut day.   Then when their GM's can't pull it off they have ammo for blasting them later.  Also hilarious to watch the NY media blowing up Teddy as a trade candidate.  Yes, he is good but why trade for him when you know they won't carry him on the roster and by waiting you don't have to match current contract and can write an offer that fits into your cap picture?  The only reason would be if multiple teams were looking at Teddy and bidding on him.

We need to let the Teddy Bridgewater hopes go. He wants to start and is showing out in Jets camp. Word is that they might be able to get a 2nd rounder from a QB hungry team.  Bridgewater would be a luxury that we cannot afford. Maybe not Paxton Lynch, but somewhere between he and Bridgewater is where we need to be looking.

TRADE:

  • Brett Hundley - GB (They traded for Kizer)
  • Bryce Petty or Brock Osweiler -MIA (Either would be a great back-up in a pinch)
  • Nate Sudfeld - PHI (Young upside backup that is better than anything on our roster)

FA:

  • Matt Moore
  • Mark Sanchez
  • Ryan Mallet
  • Scott Tolzien

Stuidity.. back ups have played well.. how bout we focus on the trash azz line we put out every year Literally... I forgot what Ryan kalil was good at honestly and his brother just robbed us blind. If I hear coach ron speak highly of amini one more time smh like why am I missing Chris Scott right now? That’s sad.. every year since gross retired oline and secondary oline and secondary.. sign castaway olinemen and sign rusty azz vet safeties minus Adams and quintin mikell I like there vet savyness.. Everybody else? Dumpster juice.. and keep roster spots for useless players because they can run in a straight line fast or there likeable personalities smh... they average 7 tackles a year and there special teams play is that important?! There’s your athletes who actually play positions that are hungry for special teams slots.. these old 1 dimensional guys get juked out when the big lights on mannn!!!... can’t remember the last. Time I’ve seen a big hit from a safety.. oh wait searcy rusty as knocked hisself out tryna earn stripes smh it’s not that hard 1 safety should be range and versatile (hoping it’s gaulsen) and the other should run good well and play aggressive (Chris Harris type)...and the oline we are stupid for not being aggressive when studs are available smh instead sign small school guys that have barely seen how real top notch d-ends and d tackles play.. come up to the league and get ran through literally.. stunting our qbs growth smh.. if you want him to read better give him some legit time! If you want him to run less make him feel at home in the pocket!.. instead he has to develope little tricks to escape smh well let me tell you defenses are hip since super bowl and everybody is modeling there defense like that.. stunting the middle and sending delayed outside blitzes smh it’s not hard to slow it down.. let’s do better man!... (rant over)

Could get RG knee if he’s cut from Baltimore— all they do is talk about how good he’s looked in preseason and how humbled he is,... Baltimore just doesn’t keep 3 QB, otherwise he’s there.

maybe he’s better than what we have, and should be cheap.
