I was diagnosed 6 years ago. My involvement with sarcoidosis was limited to just my lungs and surrounding lymph nodes. Had never even heard of it until that point, but it sure beat having lymphoma which is what my primary care doctor initially thought it was.

Anyway, I had a "mild" case and and have not had any reoccurrence. I still take Symbicort daily as a maintenance inhaler since I never fully regained 100% lung function.

I wish you the best. As with most autoimmune diseases, each person's experience and prognosis can be different. The pulmonologists with Novant were great.

Yep.  Went 5 months or so with them basically telling me I had lymphoma.  Took 4 scans and 2 biopsies to prove otherwise.  Scary stuff.

Asked last night on twitter....

Did he have a flu shot this year?

I know two folks personally who have GBS, both contracted after getting the flu shot that year...may not be the cause, but it was enough of a coincidence for me to not ever get one.

The male made it back to about 70%..he can't work.  He gets tired very easily, and has to be very careful in everyday life.

The female never fully made it back.  She uses a walker, and rarely moves any more unless needed.

Very very sad.

Zack Martin is shooting to be back week 1, but if he does get back in time for that, doubt he'll be 100% plus will be a tad rusty.

Anyways, i really hate to hear this about Frederick.  I hate all things cowboys but hate to see injuries even more

Not quite. Joe Looney, the backup center, has been getting first-team reps for a while and performed well in training camp. He looked good against the first-team in preseason.

One of the reasons Dallas took Connor Williams in the second round is because he can play all five positions on the line. They don’t want to make him a center, but if worse comes to worse he could.

It could be Williams at center, La’el Collins at left guard, and Cameron Fleming formerly of the Patriots at right tackle.

This disease is no joke, my farther current is dealing with it for 5 years now. One day he had trouble getting up out of a chair without my moms assistance. The very next day he was unable to move any part of his body, other than his head. He could still speak and eat/drink. After getting him to the hospital the doctors did a spinal tap and confirmed he had guillian barre syndrome.  His condition spread finally to his head, as he was unable to drink/eat without chocking, the only thing he could do was suck on some ice cubes. A couple weeks passed then he couldn't breathe on his own, the muscles around his lungs were unable to contract. Like being burried alive and no room for your chest. He had to be hooked up to a ventilator.  Every family member came to visit him on christmas because we were told in so many words we could lose him.

Now gets around in a wheel chair and walker. According to doctors he won't be able to have the same quality of life as he used to. He won't have the same amount of strength or stamina as he had before to hold a part time job.

Sorry for the massive wall of text. I just want to say to everyone here, if you experience tingling in your feet, legs, and hands; and lack energy please go seek medical attention. Disease such as these are no laughing matter. The longer you let something go the worse it can get. Like not being able to move at all and your muscles turn into spaghetti. If my dad hadn't went, he would have died in his sleep.

I'm soo sorry to hear about your Father!! I hope that he will improve!! You all are in my prayers
