To me still makes more sense than what we did over the off-season, you don't let an All-Pro YOU DEVELOPED go for a player looking to retire AFTER this season anyway. 

Even if they were certain of not resigning norwell, that money freed up from cutting kalil would still be useful right now for signing players cuz of injuries. We put ourselves in the whole for guy thats gonna retire after this year.
