i just added link posted last year about update. Nothing since though.

$3.3 million on just getting the building to pass permits and renovate to get to the restaurant isn’t great. Not including food costs, advertising, labor, and kitchen ovens, fridge, smokers, etc.

For him just to get his money back on the renovation with a 20% TC he isn’t getting that money back any time soon

Where did you read $3.3 mil was spent just on the building to pass code? When he released his blueprints and plans on instagram, that was his all in cost.

Not trying to make a joke or anything, but probably the same thing that happened to Deon Sanders’ restaurant, Dan Morgan’s restaurant, etc etc.

Food industry is small margins especially if you don’t have the volume. Players invest thinking it’s easy money especially if they think they don’t have to be involved. Really it’s usually a money pit and don’t see their return.

Yeah, it's tough trying to launch your own brand. Most of the athletes who do it successfully go with franchises. I know Shaq, Keyshawn Johnson and others have been pretty successful with a portfolio of franchised locations.

This. Not sure how real the threat from the Falcons was but on paper at the time I definitely understand why Hurney was very concerned CJ would head to ATL. That threat certainly helped CJ's position at the bargaining table.

In my opinion, us keeping CJ is one of the biggest things that kept Atlanta from ever winning a Super Bowl. If he hadn't been knee-whipped by that dirty New England player, who knows how many sacks he could have had.

Muhsin Muhammad is another one on that list. He runs a private equity group now, Axum Capital (based out of Charlotte) that purchased a restaurant chain (Wild Wing Cafe) in 2012 and they also have stake in Back Yard Burgers now. He's doing good for himself by all indications.

Jerry Richardson is the other obvious one, although that was decades ago.

I always loved "Big Money."  He was one of the better guys in the NFL for a while.  You can't blame him for getting his cash while he could.  I would do it if I ever had the chance.  But he was a stand up player, great community guy, and clean off the field.  Can't complain.

I'm glad he's listening to his body, and I hope he has an awesome rest of his life.

You are a genius at finding the negative in every scenerio.

KB was wrong for bringing poo into the media.

Cam was wrong for not just letting it die and trying to start poo on the field.

Don't understand either needing to be little drama queens, just play the fuging game.
