Well the last time I said he was a bust I got castrated by multiple people saying he was the next warren sapp. Now I try to say he’s worth something and all of a sudden everyone agrees with me that he’s a bust. Lose lose for me I guess

Many on here wanted Cam Robinson as our LT.

Moton is a tad shorter and shorter arms, but is quickers

 

Robinson-  6'6 320, 35 1/2 arms. He didnt bench, 7.81 3 cones, 4.82 20 yard shuttle

 

Moton- 6'5 319, 34 1/8 arms, 23 bench,  7.73  3 cones, 4.58 20 yard shuttle

 

he's plenty athletic enough to play LT

   Ahh yes. Cam Robinson. One of the few LTs actually as bad, if not worse than Matt Kalil. You don’t draft Alabama OL. As a rule.

IDK, maybe that Gruden/Penn thing was more hype than substance. Everything they are saying publicly is that they intend to keep Penn as a starter. I highly doubt we end up trading for him, so I guess we will see how that pans out over the course of the season.

Like I said....hoping. Not too worried about it anymore. See how things look against NE, but Moton at LT, Sirles at RT and wait on Williams is probably the most likely option. Until I see Moton at LT, I wouldn’t do anything. Penn is an option but far from a great one. Just sort of the only one.

Yeah, I can't imagine a 3rd round rookie starting over a vet like Penn. Seems like they have the ideal opportunity to groom the rookie behind a seasoned vet for a year and then let him take over with a year of NFL experience under his belt. Honestlly, that seems like the ideal situation for everyone involved. I hope we're about to see the same thing play our for us with Moton.

This is what happens when a team drafts needs as opposed to best player available.  It is inexcusable to not draft offensive and defensive lineman in every draft. 

Instead, we basically draft our luxury pick in the first round (whether it be a tweener line backer, a third string DT, or a flashy running back) which then makes us reach for true needs in the money rounds. We’ve drafted so many defensive backs the last two years, it’s comical. At least two of those five picks should have been used in the trenches.

I hope Moton basically makes us sorely regret not making this move sooner. We all know Kalil is a dumpster fire of a player. The bar he needs to hit is pretty low.

How do we know Moton can play LT no problem? Maybe and hopefully but it hasn't happened yet. Hes been a RT and RG.
