Deshaun Watson: 'More accurate, faster, elusive than Cam Newton'

I think Watson has been more consistent in the extremely limited number of games he's played.

Better acceleration - probably, since he's much smaller. I don't think he has better top end speed though.

The real question is durability - just like RGIII, Luck, Wentz, and many others. Cam has elite talent but more importantly he rarely misses games or plays. And he plays (or has played) much more reckless than any of the aforementioned up-and-coming QBs, except for maybe Russell Wilson. Cam's just built different.

Far too early to draw comparisons.  Elusive?  Maybe if he was more elusive he wouldn't have been on IR for most of last year?  I mean, I don't want to see anyone hurt like that, but the fact remains, Watson hasn't proven anything yet.  He's shown some flashes.  However, six games into Cam's rookie season, wouldn't we have been saying similar things?

Allow me to rephrase for you Joe, since this is what you're actually saying.

"I hate Cam Newton, he's arrogant and flashy.  In fact, I'll say he's not even as good as another black quarterback, who's only played a handful of games, none meaningful, and is coming off a serious injury.  Suck it Cam!"

Watson looked impressive in his limited outings last year but this is just hyperbole.

Slightly off topic, but I was once on a plane with Joe Theisman, both of us in first class. When the plane pulled up to the gate, we both headed straight to the nearest Men's room and peed. Joe didn't wash his hands.

so says Joe Theismann

"I think he has a chance to be MVP of the league this year," former quarterback Joe Theismann said in a telephone interview. "I thought he was off to a terrific start last year. He has a rare combination of athleticism and ability to work from the pocket.

He's more accurate than Cam Newton, faster than Cam Newton, more elusive than Cam Newton."

Watching first things first Cris Carter thinks Cam will have a great  year because of Norv and his weapons. But crazy Nick Wright doubts it because Cmc is just “average” and Anderson is a castoff. Who the hell is Nick Wright? What does he know about football ??
