Kalil dealing with knee injury

This is bad bad bad news.  He sucks but this appears to be something serious.

That wording is very specific.  The "evaluating" the situation and not knowing more means there are tests being done which means it isn't a minor injury.  (assumptions here but it seems to be that way).

Just wondering aloud.  Is there any cap relief if a player lands on IR for the season?  What implication would it have for our cap situation of Kalil were found to be "injured" and sent to IR?

I'm almost certain that there's not. I wonder if the potential to reach an injury settlement with him exists?

Honestly, I'm not so sure this isn't a good thing. Kalil is trash. If he's going to get hurt, the earlier the better. Maybe this will force us to make some kind of move at OT.

About as much relief as a kick to the junk

Was thinking the same thing.  Not wishing injury on anyone but I almost believe if we had cap relief we could pick up one or two big fellas and have a decent patchwork line.

    • Film Room Playlist _ NFL Pro — Mozilla Firefox 2024-11-25 10-20-11.mp4 🎯🎯🎯 There were a couple of "fans" yesterday saying that this wasn't a helmet-to-helmet shot... 👀 Looks like based on where Moore was and where the play ended, he'd have gotten maybe just a yard or two more. Chuba was downed at the KC 16 and Moore was on his way back to the QB, so the offense got what they could for the most part. After reviewing the all-22, Bryce made the right call here. Tremble was the hot and KC sent both LBs. He gets it out with a clear pocket but it's quickly collapsing. If there was a little more time it looked like AT came free at the end but whether or not Bryce would've been upright still is another story. Smart move to get the completion and keep the field goal in play to stay alive. George Karlaftis is about to get himself a big ole hug and Bryce heaves it to where David Moore is going. Trent McDuffie slipped just a step or two before this shot, but we can see the clear DPI here as he's wrapped around David Moore before knocking him over as the ball gets there.
    • I’m taking a TE early day 3 Ian Thomas and Tremble are FA.  We should have no desire to bring them back.   There’s more than enough film of ball bouncing off their hands or facemask.
    • Daniel Jones sometimes would sling it for 300 or 400 yards.  That's my stance.  We know what Bryce is.  If you consistently play any QB at this level, they largely are going to end up w/ some good days/games.  last time Mahomes was at BOA, Teddy Bridgwater threw for 300+ yards and a couple TDs and the Matt Rhule Panthers almost took him down.  We know what Bryce is.  Now we got people predictably falling into a predictable trap.
