Panthers v Dolphins preseason week 2 gameday thread

First game I've been to since 2016 and it was a good one. McCaffrey balled his ass off, Cam made some nice throws, the Panthers starters beat the Dolphins starters and we got the W.

Per usual I sat beside the loudest damn fan in the stadium. Also saw a girl in fishnets, which was something

Overall, quite a lot to like. Great improvement on D.  Some good plays & weapons on O.

But LT.  Such a disaster.  Thankfully we have Norv.  His ability to scheme should help.  But stilll....

thank you

New Panthers owner David Tepper spent time drinking beer and hanging with fans prior to Friday's preseason game against Miami. He appeared at halftime on the team broadcast. His best answer came when asked what his vision for the organization is: “I have only one vision. That's to win. It's not a hard vision. What we've got to do is every way we can increase the probability of winning, that's what we've got to do – whether it's an indoor practice facility at some point where we don't have to practice in a sleet storm before playoff games, whatever increases that probability a percentage. It's a game of inches. So I'd like to get that extra couple of inches.''

based on what, one preseason game off of DJ.

I understand tempering expectations, i just think you are coming at it incorrectly

I think it makes sense here.  The only other two panthers to have a great rookie year besides smitty was KB and kerry colbert.  Two of those three turned to poo.  DJ has a lot to prove.  It makes more sense to see Samuel break out IMO

Media had its first chance to ask Cam Newton about last week's heated pregame conversation with former teammate Kelvin Benjamin tonight. Said Cam: "No need for me to talk about it…. I’m in a lose-lose with that. But I wish him the best."

To be honest, I don't disagree at all with what you think. Im on the hype for sure.

Im being overly optimistic, but I mean, this guy is going to have a good year.

Its great seeing Samuel ball out.

Think every thing that comes from SC and NC is better than all other states. I get it they want their homers on the team, but these are preseason games. Cap is better, but they will not see it. Continue to make up stories about him fumbling just to make him look bad. Sad! I like Barner bc he can return the ball if Byrd gets hurt but Hood can go to PS or wherever. I don't know if CAP will make the team or not a piece of me wants him to go elsewhere and show out just to shut these haters up!

As much as some love CAP,,   most , including me, don't see it that way.

He's also a bigger Cap Hit,,  You can keep  Hood  for  $480,000 ( the minimum )  while CAP would receive about $750,000 . CAP didn't even get a helmet most of the games last year.  Hood can do that for less lol

He will learn Hurney might hinder those goals.

Whoever we keep wont get a jersey on game day outside of injury ahead of them

Agreed,,  so why keep CAP when Hood cost less..  I'm not a Hood fan,  but I do think he's got as much potential as CAP .. we've seen CAP for 3 yrs now..   crickets

I say RBs should be CMC, Anderson, Barner.  Much rather have Barner for special teams than CAP
