I find it helps to create a list of the beat writers.  During a game they won't be retweeting stuff.  It makes it much easier to follow the game play by play.

That helps for Panthers' related tweets but I follow a lot of stuff (politics, Braves, CBS Big Brother (don't hate), friends, etc.).
