I think expecting CMC to at least be Tiki Barber when he fixed bis fumbling issues is fair since he was the 8th overall pick and is our number 2 receiver.

If you look at CMCs NFL draft profile, his pro comparison is exactly that player, Tiki Barber. Also worth noting that Tiki didn't have great stats his first few season and was a late bloomer in terms of rushing efficiency .

I think Moton will actually be as good or better. Norwell is a clear loss, but you are missing the huge upgrades at WR and at TE2. Don’t forget Olsen too. It’s not a coincidence that he had 100+ in the playoffs and we had over 300 passing yards. He missed both regular season games and we had just over 300 yards combined in both games.

A new OC and much better receivers is going to more than compensate for the downgrade at LG.

Exactly. The speed and talent at WR, compared to last year, will at least get the Safeties out of the box. That in itself will make it easier for an OL that is still a question mark. At least on the left side.

I still remember the GreenBay game last year. We marched right down the field in the first drive and Christian touched the ball like 6 times. Then we barely used him the rest of the game

i felt like I was dreaming that entire drive. Just screaming "YES YES just keep doing that SHULA" and what do you know, pull him out after a magical drive 1.

Hoping Norv isn't that stupid

I mean, really. CMC has always reminded me of Brian Westbrook (who was legit as fug when he was healthy and did a ton for those Eagles teams). To me he's a bulky elite slot WR who has running skills. That's awesome with a good OC. Gurley is a huge freak athlete who can do it all. They're different types of players. Their respective size difference kinda shows that

That's pretty much how I think of him too. CMC has almost no power or push the pile ability but give him space to work with and he simply gets yards every time.

He's naturally more gifted at receiving imo, IDK what made him choose RB instead of WR. I think in a video interview hed said he was playing RB his whole life, so maybe he never considered to switch positions.

CMC can be a great back with superior blocking, but thats not something hes going to consistently get here (well maybe later in his career if we end up getting some really good oline players to replace Kalil Bros and LG). I'm just hoping Norv Turner realizes that our line isn't great , simplifies the blocking schemes, and actually uses alot more tosses and directional runs for CMC instead of just forcing him up the middle like Shula's retarded ass.

It is a very fair, and much more realistic comparison, than ones like Gurley and Bell. I’d take Tiki’s level of production any day. He was a beast. And if CMC can stay healthy with that workload, he could match those. He just a different type of player than Gurley and Bell. And comparing him to them isn’t realistic. Doesn’t mean he can’t be equally effective in different ways.

I think expecting a huge jump for him, considering the losses on the Oline is a bit unfair to him to begin with. It's not like Gurley only changed OCoordinators. He had an influx of talent on the oline as well. The Panthers have gotten worse at oline this offseason.

Totally not true and CMC could have a better year than Kamara. Better offense in every way even with the loss of Williams who is less athletic than Moton.

Shula had a thing about not using the hot hand. We will probably see the same in NYC.

Tiki Rookie Season : 3.8 ypc / 511 rushing yards / 299 receiving yards / 810 yards from scrimmage / 4 total touchdowns

McCaffrey Rookie Season  : 3.7 ypc / 435 rushing yards / 651 receiving yards / 1086 yards from scrimmage / 7 total touchdowns

Really, CMC may have gotten a few less rushing yards but blew him out of the water in receiving , total yards, and total touchdowns.

Tiki didnt get a chance to accumlate alot of rushing yards until he started getting over 200 carries in his 4th season. After that year, he got well over 1000 yards a season every time he got 200 or more carries.

Its not to say CMC was an attrocious runner last season.. what he's mainly missing is ATTEMPTS. He averaged well over 4 ypc in the 2nd half of the season, if he dominated the carries (ex cam ran alot less and stew was use sparingly) , I bet he'd end up with a lot more rushing yards with the increased carries.

Todd Gurley my dude?? Breh you are legit insane

dont forget the rams actually had a good oline last year and multiple deep threats who could catch consistently, AND a great HC/OC. 3 things we were sorely missing last season.
