Panthers already have 5 locks at wide receiver, and Byrd ain't one of them.

torrey smith is gonna have the entire stadium kneeling for the flag like real patriots should, so he'll stay on the team for sure.

hopefully byrd is down with the cause and sticks around too

Why are always trying to spin everything into politics? Keep that BS in the Tinderbox.

People on this forum actually think we have a stacked WR corp LMAO. Most our guys have never even broke the 300 yards marker in a season, Funchess our number 1 is not even considered a top 40 WR. We have no room to cut anyone.

Byrd is by far our best returner, we need to keep him.

Somebody explain to me why Jairus Wright is a lock? He was no better than Byrd last year in twice as many games.

G  GS REC YDS AVG LNG TD

Wright- 16 0 18 198 11.0 30 2-

Byrd-     8 3 10 105 10.5 31 2

And Byrd is younger and cheaper.

He's Norv's guy. Doubt he's going anywhere.

This season is gonna be fun because DJ Moore is a legit, AJ Green level WR, and he'll be like the fourth option this year. Cam has reason to be in a great mood

...

I'm loving DJ as much as the next guy, but he's played a preseason game mostly against backups.  AJ Green level? The 4th overall pick in Cam's draft.  The one that since stepping foot in the league churns out 1,000 yards+ and 8 TDs every year with Andy Dalton and the Bengals coaching staff in charge? That's insanity.  IF he magically turns into AJ Green, he'd also be a helluva lot more than the fourth option unless we somehow traded for Antonio Brown and Julio. Optimism is one thing...but sheesh.
