vs Miami - What specific improvements do you want to see?

Better tackling, especially at linebacker. There were a number of drive-extending plays in the Buffalo game that were triggered by bad open-field tackling. That should improve with reps for the backups.

Secondary. Someone other than Donte Jackson needs to make a play.

I don't know if it's improvement per se, but I'd like to see either of the backup QBs put up another solid performance like they did vs Buffalo. If they both struggle, the Panthers will enter the third game of the preseason with questions about their backup QB. Now, it might not matter if Hurney looks for an affordable veteran on the market, but it would be ideal if the best candidate is already on the roster.

Better hope new guys on defense improve if not we are screwed this year. We looked awful and then backups behind them were no better. I think we are in for a long year. Looks like the no winning record back to back season curse is still going to happen.

I know, and why is palardy even on the roster!!!??? we are so doomed!

A better showing by the first team defense in general.

Greater offensive sharpness. A couple of early passes at Buffalo were wildly off target.

Because Seymour played so poorly Thursday I believe this game takes on great importance for him, preseason game notwithstanding. Without marked improvement, his confidence is likely shot.

Torry Smith was invisible Thursday. I expect greater overt involvement Friday.

A little special teams shenanigans may be in order.
