The fact that RR had amini taking 1st string  reps instead of van roten is frustrating. He looked better on that play than amini has ever looked.

Everyone who covers this team always said they thought it would be Moton, Larsen, or Van Roten before Amini.

Everyone that covers the team opinion doesn’t mean crap. Only matters what Ron thinks and anyone  with half a brain knows RR was gonna trot amini out there no matter what. And  Once Again it took another injury to get the right man in for the job.

Question for you football gurus.  I played college baseball so I don’t kanow the intricacies of the trenches.  How will him only being 305 lbs translate at guard?  I’m sure he would be better at pulling because of that weight and a little worse in pass protection.

Anybody like to school me?

Not a professional when it comes to the trenches either but I have heard small concerns in the past about Larsen. When Larsen gets his hands on you the play is over, the DT or linebacker is done, but there were some rumblings he isn’t quite as good at run blocking because he can’t pull like Ryan Kalil can. I am hopeful now that Amini isn’t starting that all the guys get a fair shot.
