Thoughts on Trading Funchess?

Getting rid of Funchess would be a terrible move. He's a proven #2 receiver and he's only 24!

I dont think Hurney is a big fan of Funchess, so if he doesn't ball out this year and Hurney is still here, I think Funchess will go else where for more money. Hurney need to prepare to replace him either 3rd roundish in the draft or a 2019 FA

Moore, Samuel and Byrd combo last night was sure giving the Bills problems, but still wont trade Funchess

I want see him play in his contract year. If he balls out and we can't afford him, so be it. We got a great year from him. If he doesn't he'll be relatively cheap to keep, if we want to do so.

I would cut Torrey and use that $5m on some signings before I traded Funch

after the crop of WRs that we trotted out in the playoff game, the worst in NFL history, we may over compensate and rightfully so with the WR depth. And Im fairly certain we keep 6. I cant see us getting a CB as good or better than Funchess anyway.

He's the only big target at WR now, plus the others are all new. Byrd and Samuel have a total of about 25 receptions between 'em. Funch gets a pass this season (hopefully a lot of 'em).

If we could trade Funchess for a starting caliber plug and play DB I'd seriously consider it. I say that as someone who thinks that this is likely his last season here anyway.

Funchess was among the top-tier of wideout in 2017, in terms of contested rec rate. 

For what he provides, situationally, I’d prefer not losing that production.

Funch will break out this year and the coaches know it. There’s no way we get rid of him. Norv is gonna know exactly what to do with him

Because like KB, he can't create separation.

I wouldn't be in a rush to trade him but if the right offer came along for immediate help in the secondary I'd pull the trigger.

I'm not against the idea but I can't imagine we would be able to get a quality player for a guy who is pretty unknown around the league and who will be leaving for the highest bidder after the season.
