Our secondary will improve down the line, remember they are just rookies.

That's if they are any good. Marcus Peterson and Marshon Lattimore looked great as rookies.

Bradberry and Worley looked terrible.

What category will Donte Jackson and Gaulden fall in? Hopefully somewhere in between realistically.

Hood was most certainly a winner. I'm thinking that Doss was as well. And Elder at least gets an honorable mention (as maybe does Mahon, and Van Roten.

Taylor Moton also. Just lost an all-pro RT in Williams and didn't miss a beat.

Ahhhhh, for the salad days when CAP was getting his yards in preseason games against 3rd stringers and UDFA and we were being told that those performances didn't count because it was against players that "were gonna get cut" and that its what the coaches see every day in practice that counts.

Now?  It seems that what you do in preseason games against 3rd stringers and UDFAs who are "gonna get cut" that counts and, now that Igo is reporting that CAP is doing very well in practice, what they show every day in practice no longer counts!

I am shocked to hear that the people who have hated on CAP since his first day in uniform as a 5th round draft pick have now done a 180 on what "counts" to more easily fit it into their long-held, pre-judged opinion.

SHOCKED, I say.

(P.S. And by SHOCKED, I mean totally *not* shocked.)

That one gif of Kalil was bad, and unfortunately I'm sure there will be more throughout the year.

As for tonight, I'm sure Panthers fans are way more concerned about Seymour looking like 2015 Browner out there and the secondary in general looking bad.

However, we finally have a legit receiving corp, and CJ Anderson along with a bulked up McCaffrey and Cam is going to be every bit as dangerous as Kamara and Ingram

Well they might not be nearly as dangerous with our current OL blocking for them. I am afraid they may be a big enough weakness that they significantly hamper our offense all season. Extremely worrisome.

If it has not been mentioned, I thought Heinicke was a winner after last night's 7-9, 121 yard, TD performance.  I was impressed with his mobility and his decision making.  There is obviously a drop off after Cam, but I was very pleased with what I saw from both back up QBs last night.

The fact that the new “toy” was covered in light blue when it arrived doesn’t help matters either.

It was a much different performance than I have seen from any Offense since the 90s. You can never overlook coaching and this year is much better.

I'd add Elijah Hood to the winner's list. I think CAP was running ahead of Anderson because CJ is a lock to make the roster. CAP was given an opportunity to show something and per usual, he didn't show much. Hood ran hard as hell when he had a chance, got us a gifted 1st down with a penalty because he refused to go down, and showed some soft hands to boot. Hoping to see CAP and Hood's roles reversed next week. Hood earned an opportunity to show what he can do in that spot IMO.

CAP has proven his worth in games that matter. He's much quicker than Hood to the hole and has been with the team enough that in a draw, he takes the tie breaker.

Had to work so I didn't get to see the game. Do you or anybody else have a clip or video showing Gilbert's throw where he missed the wide open Moore. The one that the article states that, " He also missed a wide open D.J. Moore in the first half with what can only be described as the worst throw ever made by a backup quarterback in the first half of the first preseason game in Carolina Panthers history. "

The announcers didn't mention it, but Gilbert gets contacted just as he's letting it go.
