They were being very intention to get a look at CAP. They know what they have with Anderson.

Hood was playing against 4th stringers. When CAP was in few series there was always a defender left unblocked before he could even get to his gap.

Elijah "Pile Driver" Hood looked better than Artis-Payne ever has as a Panther to me. He certainly started an argument last night.

I bet he's a naturally better blocker.

Anderson played late because he's a roster lock behind CMC and the staff needs to decide on the other 3.

The question marks are CAP, Hood and Barner. I don't know why CAP is still here, I don't know why Barner was brought back and I think Hood (5-11/230) may be more of a Stephen Davis than Anderson. 

I like the idea of CMC, Anderson and Hood with Armah at FB.

Oh yeah, and Hood looked like a WR down the seam on that wheel route last night.

Do you honestly think Hood's his 2.3 yards per carry looked better than CAPs 6.4 for the preseason last year or 5.3 yards per carry in the real season? Or are you a Tarheel fan?

He certainly looked better last night. And, no, Carolina isn't my thing. Georgia for sho!

Seriously, Hood hasn't had any kind of real opportunity during the regular season, and it's not like Artis-Payne has that much more, but he does have some. If he were that guy, then it would have surfaced by now. I'm tired of the experiment. If we're going to have a third down back, let's have one with power, hands, and blocking ability.

Time to give fresh meat a chance.

Where was this part of the game where Hood showed  “better” than anything CAP has ever shown? On 7 yds and a wheel route in the 4th qtr of a pre-season game?

All I'm saying is that I'm tired of the Artis-Payne experiment. I'd rather give the opportunity to a younger guy.
