Brandon's Positively Pointless Power Rankings Week 7

1. Colts

The Colts leave the bye week and look at a schedule which features only 3 games remaining against teams with a winning record. Peyton has to be salivating looking at that schedule, especially in the middle of a career year.

2. Saints

The Saints dominated the Giants in a game which most people expected to be much closer, but they did have two weeks to prepare for the game. The defense deserves most of the credit for the win, keeping the Giants from ever getting going.

3. Broncos

Every week it seems as if the Broncos are expected to fall back to Earth, but they keep winning games with excellent play from all 3 phases of the game. The Broncos have only allowed 10 points in the second half all year, a testament to their improved defense.

4. Vikings

Minnesota keeps rolling, with Adrian Peterson putting up his first 100 yard game since the first game of the season. The Vikings have only given up 4 turnovers, which have been their achilles heel in previous seasons.

5. Falcons

It wasn't a pretty victory against the Bears, only 253 yards of offense for example, but they managed to win in the end, which is all that matters for good teams. The Falcons now head into Dallas to face a Dallas team which has struggled all year.

6. Steelers

Pittsburgh's victory over the Browns was hardly shocking but for some reason the huge disparity in offense never translated into scores. The Steelers need to find some way to make the running game more consistent before bad weather hits.

7. Patriots

Anything to be said about the Patriots' record breaking offensive effort against the terrible Titans wouldn't be enough to describe the Madden-esque performance by Tom Brady. What are they going to do against the 0-6 Bucs while in London?

8. Giants

The Giants offense was very consistent all year... until Sunday where the bottom fell out and they never had a chance to catch up with the Saints. The defense deserves a bit more of the blame, the pass rush must improve, or exist at all.

9. Bears

The lack of a consistent rushing game is starting to hurt the Bears, with Matt Forte eeking out just 23 yards on 15 carries. This will have to change if they want to topple the Vikings in the NFC North. Cutler cannot be asked to win every game again.

10. Packers

The Packers came out of the bye looking much more like the team many expected to see after their outstanding preseason performance this year. The offensive line, however, is still giving up too many sacks, can Aaron Rodgers survive this onslaught every game?

11. Eagles

The Eagles found themselves a bit exposed against one of the worst teams in the history of the modern era, Andy Reid has never developed a proper rushing attack in Philadelphia. The Eagles cannot afford to drop another game in such a manner.

12. Cardinals

The Cardinals won a game in which all they had to do was show up, the Seahawks' play was just that terrible. Now the Cardinals head into New York to face a Giants team which will want to prove they still have it, Arizona had better prepare well.

13. Texans

At some point people are going to talk about Matt Schaub, who has been putting up ridiculous numbers all year long. The defense may not be terribly good but they deserve a lot of credit for the win against Cincinnati.

14. 49ers

One can only imagine the things that Mike Singletary said to his team during the bye week, most of which probably cannot be repeated in public. The 49ers are hoping to stop their slide, hoping that they can find some sort of offense.

15. Bengals

The Bengals have won games this year playing sold defense and running the football, and against the Texans thy found themselves unable to do either. With Antwan Odom now injured the defensive line is very suspect .

16. Ravens

The Ravens pride themselves on defense but they haven't played it all year long. The offense has kept them in just about every game they've played but it's becoming very clear that the strong team everyone saw at the start of the year has been exposed.

17. Dolphins

18. Jets

19. Panthers

20. Cowboys

21. Chargers

22. Seahawks

23. Jaguars

24. Bills

25. Raiders

26. Chiefs

27. Lions

28. Redskins

29. Browns

30. Buccaneers

31. Rams

32. Titans
