WQAM (miami) is reporting we are trying to trade Steve Smith to the Dolphins

Steve Smith isn't the same Steve Smith he was a few years ago. He's not the best WR in the league, and he's not "one of the best" either. Unless by that you mean he is a #1 on one of the 32 teams in the league.

If it's really going to take us 2 to 3 years (As some experts around here suggest) to be competitive again then we would be wise to dump him now for everything we can get. By the time we're good again, Smith will have lost even more of a step than he has now.

I like Steve Smith and everything. I don't have posters of him on my wall and write about him in my diary and have dreams about him like some of you... but I can't say I disagree with the notion that it's time to move on as far as Steve Smith goes.

there is no way this is happening. i worked at wqam in miami. this is the same station who has a radio host (steve goldtein) who randomly posts on twitter "dolphins giving up 2 picks for bowe" then when he got his twitter blown up asking his source etc etc

he back tracks and basically gives no info and says its BS

that station is ran by clowns. dont worry about it everyone. steve smith is NOT going to miami

id rather have bowe anyways :):)

This whole Steve isn't the same talk is BS. Kind of hard to be great when you have the second to worst starting qb throwing ducks all over the field.

This.

How can any receiver be good when you have a dumbass at QB? Steve is still Steve! He is still one of the best. Anyone else who thinks otherwise has no idea what they are talking about.

Agreed.

We're just a few games removed from a season in which he amassed almost 1,500 yards and was one of the league's best receivers, statistically. Not only that, but he made game-changing plays that few receivers would be able to, and he did it when it counted.

Not only that, but he did all of this playing second fiddle to one of the league's best ground attacks.

We will be an absolutely putrid team without Steve Smith.

Smith has been putrid since late last year and hasn't given Jake a chance on his routes. This much is obvious.

If you can't see this then I suggest you go back to listening to sports radio where they won't question your baseless opinion.
