Good. He was very serviceable stepping in for Ryan.

I have a feeling we're reluctant to plug him in at LG due to Ryan's recent injury history, but we gotta put our best five OL on the field. If Ryan gets hurt again and Larsen has to slide back over to center, cross that bridge when we get there.

Per a league source, Panthers center/guard Tyler Larsen has agreed to a 2-year, $4.4 million extension ($1.4 million guaranteed) with the club, expected to be signed today. Huge move for insurance behind Ryan Kalil, and with Amini Silatolu hurt.

The Panthers have reached an agreement with center/guard Tyler Larsen on a two-year extension that is expected to be signed today, per source. A big move considering this is the last year for center Ryan Kalil, plagued by injuries the last two seasons. and because of the injury situation at left guard with Amini Silatolu suffering a torn meniscus. The Charlotte Observer first reported the extension.

Panthers sign future center at bargain, but it’s life-changing for Tyler Larsen

In the summer and fall of 2016, Tyler Larsen lived with his parents and worked for his father. His job was to replace sprinkler heads and lay sod.

But on Wednesday, Larsen, 27, signed a 2-year, $4.4 million extension with the Carolina Panthers with $1.4 million guaranteed according to a league source.
