This thread just piles on. Noone gives a damn what DW is saying now. Cam shut that poo down and was like swatting away a fly. Why cant you do the same?

Why are you replying to threads you don't care about.

See DW and KB both complain about the grieving process is beyond me.

I posted on this in the past, so it isn’t anything new. I’m 30 years old, lost my mom at 26 unexpectedly. I didn’t have the money or career that I have now then to bury her the way I wanted, or have the funeral that I think she deserved. I was 26 and had to pay for everything myself.

For both of them to “expect” anything from the team or organization when they passed is dumb. I understand they wanted support and probably needed it. But you don’t expect people to help. I didn’t expect my work to show up and support, or really do anything. Is it the right thing to do? Sure. But it speaks more to your character than the situation. If you are the type of person where people won’t support you (DWill), then that’s on you. You are the one that caused that situation on yourself. It’s time for them to look back and reflect on that and what they did to make the team and organization not be there for them. For them to blame any of this on that situation is childish, and speaks for the volume of their character.

I'm going to try to be objective. When someone's mother dies that is important to you, you should probably try and make it to the funeral/memorial service if at all possible because at many times they are looking for someone---anyone to blame. This is probably even more so when their mother dies young and/or unexpectedly. So don't provide more fuel to the fire by not giving your best. Funerals and such are more for the living than the dead (if you get what I'm saying). It will leave scars if it's perceived that you are being cavalier about the situation.

Basically, just do your best.

But was DeAngelo important to anyone on the team? Seems few liked him, they were just coworkers.

Yeah most people who lose a loved one get to take a week or, if they are lucky, two off to grieve and then they are expected to be back at work doing their job. Kelvin and Deangelo live in a make believe world that revolves around them it appears.

D Will, I'm not going to touch the passing of his mom, that's sacred and deserves all the respect and then some. I believe that KB was traded in part bc of his work ethic, his game approach/play and his weight. To me, he never played to his size. I believe that D Will wasn't resigned because of his contract, either him or J Stew had to be released.

    • It absolutely is on him for doing it and I'd wager he used a good bit of that psychology major to help him through interviews because he could read people better than most. The Panthers should have recognized it for what it was, hell, we all did, but you can't absolve him just because everyone else does it.    38 Million guaranteed.
    • No Ikem vs the best pass rushing team in the NFL?  With no pocket for Bryce to step in to because of arguably the best interior DL in the NFL, Dexter Lawrence? Giants win comfortably IMO.  Look at how hype the Panthers were to win last week.  That was enough for them. The Panthers have struggled against mobile QBs this year too.  Guys who can extend the play.  Bo Nix, Marcus Mariota, Caleb Williams.  Panthers have struggled against all QBs this year to be honest, but those guys in particular did the best statistically.  Expect a big game from Danny Dimes, Nabers, and Tyrone.
    • And where did anyone say they were? I’m saying that’s where the comp comes from. I agree they are different. No two QBs are the same even that Nebraska QB is different than Mahomes no matter how hard he tries…
