Amini “Backside” Silatolu

Its certainly not ideal to pencil in as the starter at LG. However he did fill in for Turner at RG for 3 games last year and did fairly well (I went back and re-watched recently).

When re-watching those games, (Packers,Bucs, and Falcons) I only saw him give up 1 sack and that was in a 1 on 1 matchup vs Gerald McCoy.  His run blocking actually stood out to be above average. He does well in getting his opponents pushed back off the line and did well in open space when pulling for an outside run or blocking for a screen play.

i'd love nothing more than for amini to have some twilight zone monster season and then get snapped up by some other team while we collect the 3rd round comp pick

but there's a 99% chance that that won't happen and he'll just suck while rivera stubbornly keeps starting him

Seattle (with their poor OL situation) brought him in last year for a visit and he left without a contract.  The Bears cut him, we pick him back up.  He's a bottom of the road OG; I really hope Turner & the new guys help Rivera understand he isn't cutting the mustard.  He slipping on the mustard.
