So I heard an interesting statement from my cousins boyfriend this evening...guy was a college QB so I generally trust his opinion on football matters

He said that our lack of PI penalties were related to the corners playing too soft and that they should pry fire the secondary coach. Also mentioned that we should pry go man to man more instead of always running zone D

I stated earlier (though more generally speaking), that you can't commit defensive PI penalties if the DB's are nowhere near the WR's on their routes. Tonight, #'s 20, 21, 30, and 31 were all guilty of that.

Fox's MO is to stop the run and prevent big plays on D, run the ball to set up big plays on O.

The D will almost never play bump and run and the O will almost never play 4 wide.

It is what it is.

Our DB coach is the same guy we beat like a rag doll in 05. You think we would pick a winner. He had good success last year but this year all of our DBs have been horrible at some point. I do believe its the DBs choice to how far he plays off. Gamble always plays a mile off and if he is so good I dont know why.
