Mac and Tbone are perfect in the mornings...Bailey is great at what he does...give Tony a break...they r still trying to figure out what to do with the mid day since Kroegs left...Garcia is a dbag but he is good at pissing u off bad enough to call in and argue with him

A lot of u guys on here would literally complain about anything

I stream  FNZ  early mornings , before heading out into the hinterlands of eastern NC to work ..    I personally like the Mac and Tbone show..    I live on the coast, so remember we get little or no Panther news daily.

So, for all of you who complain about the station or personalities..  what do you listen to ??

What  TV station has the best coverage of the Panthers in the Charlotte market  ?

There is espn 730 for alternate local (Charlotte) sports talk. It’s not much better but a change of pace from the fart jokes, UNC bashing, Cam bashing, and negativity and “sky is falling” hot takes that FNZ loves to dish out about the Panthers and Hornets. The station is garbage but if you want panthers coverage it’s basically your only option.

I tried to listen to FNZ on the ride home yesterday and for idiotic reason they had the panthers stadium DJ Vinny on and he started bashing the bumper music which was the beastie boys. That certainly isn’t a DJ I put any credibility in.

The past 3-4 times i’ve Briefly tuned into FNZ for the ride home from work, they have had a live on air spelling bee, argued about man card violations and The Batchelor, talked Nebraska football because the squirly needle dick producer is a Husker fan, and the real only sports talk has been anthem protests, bashing UNC football, and putting every single reporter on who thinks the Panthers are gonna suck this year. Garbage.

I listen to Dan Patrick 9a-noon and Jim Rome from noon-3p.

Regardless of your thoughts on WFNZ's line up, they've had some fantastic interviews from camp this week. Pretty much every player, Ron, Marty, etc. Worth checking out if you have the time. From a couple days ago so you may need to scroll through to find who you want to hear from.

I very much agree with this.

Why should I give Tony a break? Instead of finding a host who actually knows Charlotte sports like Kroeger (i.e. Chuck Howard), he picks Josh Parcell who is going to take on the Nate Conley role of slurping New England and shitting on Cam and the Panthers . Because that worked out well before.

And no, I've never called the show once to argue with any of the hosts. I just roll my eyes and move on about my day.

Chuck Howard wasn't any good though. The Parcell guy was. Considering the guys in the other two time slots have been around a long time they need something different than yet another member of the media going on and on about things like humidity in Spartanburg.

Chuck Howard would have been beyond awful.  And, I say that while not necessarily having anything against him.  He was fine doing sports on TV, and he may be suited well for the job they'll have him doing instead.  But, as the main guy carrying a daily radio show, he would have been cringe-worthy.  He has just never seemed like a natural on the radio.

I don't know much about the hosts they got instead, but they both sound more suited to radio than Howard.  I'll give them a chance whenever I get a chance to listen.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Chuck was a superstar, but I'd much rather have someone like him who knows poo about the Panthers/Charlotte. I don't know how you can say Parcell was good.

It sounds like some , like or dislike  FNZ depending on when they listen..  I never listen after 9-10 AM .. Some of you listen on the ride home,,, entirely different shows that morning.

ESPN..  I struggle with Wingo and Golick .   WAAAAAY too much NBA talk..  It's JULY and AUG,   they constantly are talking about NBA players..   I realize there is ( on paper ) an NBA team in Charlotte..  but we're basicly 4 weeks from the start of college and NFL football.. I could care less than 0  , ZERO ,  about anything in the NBA ...

I have XM radio, and it's rare I listen to ESPN..  usually it's NBC Sports on 205 that carries Pro Football Talk with Mike Florio and others..  And  David  Glenn at noon ( yes, he's long winded in his lectures lol, but it's usually relevant to what I like in Sports,, NC,  Pro Football,  NC College sports,  Golf ( yeah I hear some of you groan lol ) ,,

ESPN has lost me with all the NBA talk ..

    • from the observer     Miami Dolphins. The Panthers will welcome one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL, led by Alabama alum Tua Tagovailoa and fast-as-a-cheetah Tyreek Hill, to Bank of America Stadium in 2025. The Dolphins are 8-8 this year and are 6-2 against the Panthers all-time. *Seattle Seahawks. This home matchup marks a full-circle moment for Dave Canales, who cut his NFL teeth under Pete Carroll in Seattle. Carolina is 4-9 all-time against the Seahawks and lost the last contest in the matchup in 2023. Seattle is 9-7 heading into Week 18. *Los Angeles Rams. The Rams are perennial playoff contenders and have notched seven winning seasons the past eight years. The Panthers are 12-10 against the Rams all-time. *Buffalo Bills. This year it was the Kansas City Chiefs. This year’s Super Bowl contenders making a trip to Bank of America Stadium? Josh Allen and the Bills. The Panthers are 2-6 all-time against the Buffalo franchise. New York Giants / Cowboys. The Panthers had a home game — technically — against the Giants this year. That was in Germany, of course. And the 2025 Giants (3-13 entering Week 18) will look a lot different than the ones the Panthers faced in Munich, what with a new quarterback coming and a refurbished offense. That is, of course, if the Panthers finish last in the NFC South. If not, they face the Cowboys (7-9) New England Patriots. Panthers fans get an up-close look at their homegrown NFL quarterback when Carolina travels to Foxborough to take on the Drake Maye-led Patriots. The Pats are 3-13 entering Week 18. New York Jets. The Jets are 4-12 this year and have an existential crisis to handle this offseason — with their situations at quarterback and their head coach not exactly stable. At least for now, it feels like a compelling matchup for the Panthers on the road. San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers seem much better than 6-10. And they will likely be in 2025 — particularly if former Panther Christian McCaffreystays healthy. The Panthers are 13-9 against San Francisco all-time. Chicago Bears / Green Bay Packers. The Panthers are either playing the last-placed Bears or the second-to-last-place Packers in 2025, two very different. The mostly that emerged from Soldier Field this season focused on how much the Bears had “fleeced” the Panthers in their blockbuster trade before the 2023 season. But with Bryce Young playing well and the Bears in free fall and with a new coach incoming, that perception might be different next season. Tennessee Titans / Jaguars. The Panthers are facing either the last-place team or the second-to-last place team in the AFC South in 2025, depending on Sunday’s results. (A Titans win and a Jaguars loss could knot them at 4-13 each, but the Jags have the edge with their divisional record and would thus earn the tiebreaker.) Arizona Cardinals. The Panthers are also facing the Cardinals, who are entering Week 18 with a 7-9 record.
    • Who is J. Stafford and R Prescott? Looks like a random number generator piece of AI crap
    • Our offense averages 18.6 points per game, good for 25th in the league this year. Not great. worst offense ever? 7.4 ppg. Over 11 points per game difference. our defense? 31 ppg. Good for 32nd (by a lot) worst defense ever? 32.5 ppg by the 2020 lions.
