Smith is only gone if Samuel and maybe Byrd show they can remain healthy. If they both have injuries they will keep the guy thats shown a ability to stay healthy throughout his career. 

We all know that the only way Byrd is active on game days is if he returns kicks

We're not going to get rid of Samuel for Byrd. That's absolutely not going to happen.

Yeah not sure what people don’t get about this... Samuel was a top 40 pick a year ago and has tons of promise coming off an injury riddled rookie year. As much of a lock as anyone not named Cam or Luke...

 

Though I do think we will and should definitely keep Byrd as well.

You dont cut a high 2nd round pick going into his 2nd year, after missing most of his rookie offseason and year due to injuries.

But if a team called and offered a starting caliber lineman for one of them, I’m sure the FO would listen. I just don’t think that’s a possibility. Very few nfl teams with o line depth

Anything is better than nothing for cutting one....

And nobody is going to give up a starting OL for either one of them lol this isn't Madden
