Midfield NFL shield is gone (speculation)

Still looks like speculation. Haven't seen anything say that it is for sure happening.

Yeah, but the point of that tweet from the team was an acknowledgement of something they know people care/have been talking about.  It's the most official you're going to get before it actually happens.  Like Clayton said, it's likely going to be for regular season, as I don't remember them ever even painting the endzones or NFL shield for preseason games.

Everyone has been saying it will be done for fanfest and I haven't seen any tweets say that is for sure happening.

I can confirm that the NFL shield is not at midfield. However, I can also confirm that neither is the Panthers logo. The field remains paintfree as of 7:47AM.
