I’m telling you all 7-9 it is this season.  This team is not nearly as talented as some seem to think.

Dude, c'mon man. You said the same thing last year. Then we won our 8th game. Then you said we would not make the Playoffs. Then, when we made the Playoffs. You said we would not win a game. Soooo, you had that one right. lol

The thing about about being negative all the time. You can be right some of the time.

IMO, when you have a QB like Cam, you always have a shot. Period.

So yeah, come on over to the light side. I promise, it won't hurt.

It will continue to be cursed as long as any remnants of JR's regime are allowed to have influence with this team.

Ridiculous. JR might have been a bad man but he wasn't a damn pedophile or rapist he just was a creepy old guy. His legacy shouldn't be destroyed. After all the panthers wouldn't exist if not for him. You can't remove that from the history books.

He couldn't build a consistent winner.  The people he surrounded himself with to run his team were only there because they kissed his ass and ran things his way.  Another 25 years of mediocrity is not what I want for my team.

You can continue to worship the man if you want but I have higher expectations for this team.

Roster turnover is just as a good reason as injuries.  2014 we cut all the vets and went youth. 2016 we dumped whole secondary and tried to replace with triple dip draft picks.  After 2008, we dumped almost everyone but the over paid core. After 2013 and 2015 we lost alot to free agency.

Hate to be a Debbie downer. But the panties will have a losing season. It's in their blood after a winning season to have a losing season the year after. The injuries are already piling up. 6-10 at best. Looking forward to 2019 season.

I will be so glad when this monkey is off the team's back.  I've only been a fan for 7 years, so I've not endured nearly as many seasons of frustrating inconsistency as many of you. But I've really been noticing this year how "inconsistency" is becoming the media's ptimary excuse to disrespect the Panthers. GMFB is normally more rational in their analysis of the Panthers, but even they are citing our every other year drop off as a reason for lower expectations this season. Case closed.

It's infuriating to me as a fan. I can only imagine how much our players and coaches want to shatter the pattern!

    • yeah. winter backpacking trips were the most miserable and amazing experiences. same with the coldest and snowiest hunting  experiences. i love being in it. makes for incredible memories. the worse it was, the more i ended up loving it. made the greatest memories.  i just want to get out of it afterwards.
    • I forgot about Jackson...definitely elite.  The sad part of your list is that 2 of them were 'there for the taking for the Panthers'.  Rumor has it that Hurney loved Herbert and was vetoed on trying to trade up.  And rumor has it that Frank & McCown wanted Stroud.  I believe both rumors.
    • I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.
