That damn field

Jake Ryan LB from the packers tore his ACL today. Damn... they must have bad grass on their fields too @Mr. Scot :eyeroll:

See, this is one of those times when actually understanding what you read goes a long way towards helping you not look like an idiot.

Try and follow...

The theory that the field is bad is Igo's, not mine. He cites a rash of injuries occurring on the same field as evidence of his argument.

My statements in this thread are as follows.

- Training camp being held at Wofford likely stops after next year no matter what

- The college and the city are trying to keep camp in place, but fair or not, these injuries don't help their cause.

- David Tepper has stated that the Panthers practice situation is inadequate, and he plans to improve it.

- Igo having been on the field itself and having seen the injuries that occurred there lends him credibility.

And that's pretty much it.

My actual take on the field? This kind of injury happens all over, but given the recent trend, I wouldn't necessarily blame the team for considering options. Again though, we're only there for the rest of this year and next, so ultimately whatever problem there is will take care of itself.

Basically, you're arguing with me over something that I haven't said, which doesn't make you look terribly bright. You're also coming in trying to act like a big bad non-conformist toward @Jeremy Igo which is kind of silly. Igo and I don't always agree, but I always acknowledge he's in a position to see more things first hand than I do.

So in the future, if you're actually going to try and debate somebody, it looks a lot smarter if you debate what they're actually saying.

Oh no, this isn’t a debate. This was just me telling you were wrong. You can “spin” it any way you want, but your initial inference was wrong.

but in your mind you are never wrong. So what’s the point?

love how you tagged Igo and said my argument was with him. My first post did state that, but you were the one that replied, and obviously became “triggered.”

Joy to me :) thanks for the show!

Cool, but argue with something I'm actually saying. Or at least understand what I'm saying.

Either way, trust me kid. You're not important enough to "trigger" me. But if that makes you feel good about yourself...

Since there were more than 1 of us in this thread disagreeing with you, and you claimed you did not say anything about the field, shouldn't you consider doing a better job explaining what you are trying to say? Much like you did with your 5 paragraph post above? seems like it took about 4-5 back and forths before you actually stated what you were trying to say, instead you were giving abstract statements.

Shouldn't take so much work to concisely express your opinion. Also, it isn't my goal to get you triggered, but with your mostly defensive responses its evident that you do take some of this stuff personal.

What would make me feel good about myself is having a discussion with you where you do the following: clearly express your opinion, understand that there is a possibility in a conversation you could be wrong, and lastly hear others out and understand their opinion before replying defensively. Ive constantly witnessed the opposite of the behaviors above in many of your threads over the years. So im just pointing it out.

Oh if you want to demonstrate alpha (by calling me a kid), thats cool, but know that name calling or stating someone lacks intelligence really makes you look like a douche.

If Igo is correct and the fields are crappy and responsible for a rash of injuries, this would be a scoop that will take off. An expose worthy of ESPN or the NFL talk shows. I look forward to reading it.  Until then or the players or coaches comment, I will withhold final judgement either way. Color me skeptical

Wish this was your response when it came to asking yourself if you should spam the board with Jr references or not.

Nah.

Just my response to someone who keeps coming back despite saying they were "good".

Cockrell had a completely broken leg. A field causing blunt force to the smallest section of his leg to cause a clean break would be world breaking news.

Right. And Rivera indicated that Williams misstepped and got pushed at the same time and the knee crumpled. Didn't mention slipping but with the rain and humidity, it is likely.  Still I wonder why the field hasn't been blamed by anyone else.
