Exactly my point on Bradberry, he guards this about as lazy as you can possibly get lol

Well, he gets beat off the line, so he's in trail position immidiately, but idk if it's lazy as much as it kind of highlights the stiffness in his game. 1 on 1s greatly favor the receiver, but that route wasn't a whole bunch to write home about (I'm actually somewhat surprised Igo used it as an example lol) and a good corner makes up the initial seperation at the line on that rounded off route.

...so? A catch is a catch. I never understood the downplaying of a catch if its not plucked out of the air. If they catch the ball and it stays in their possession who gives a fug how they caught it?

Philly Brown. That is all.

Yes, take the names out of the equation for a second...It was really an elementary rounded off route, with a body catch, where the cornerback gave a lackadaisical effort at jamming the receiver, and essentially gets lost at the line and never gets his head back to make an attempt on the ball.

Ever thought his only job on that play was to force him outside where he would normally have help?

I get what some of y'all are trying to say: This hopefully isn't a good representation of Bradberry's skills, who by most accounts has had a good couple of days in camp. But that's not what was happening in that drill. It was a simple, one on one drill where the receiver has the advantage from the get-go. In a game situation, perhaps he wouldn't have been Bradberry's lone responsibility, but in this drill it would have been nice to see a more purposeful/authoritative jam at the line, and better instincts at the break. But, again, it's not an indictment, just an observation  on this play.

Smitty wad a body catcher too. So please sit down. Like I said. As long as the CATCH it, then LT doesn't matter.

I think, typically, body catchers struggle to catch in traffic and in good coverage a bit more. Guys do it and get away with it, but I don't think it's quite as simple as a catch is a catch. A body catcher doesn't have near the catch radius of a guy that catches outside of his body.

Twas a joke to begin with but y’all can poo if you want.  Technique always catches up to you. I get that this is one catch. Same people pooing me over the comment on one catch are praising inconsistent CB via new posts for ONE good play at training camp. Double standard but like I said, it was a joke. Don’t take it so hard.

Hope he pans out but y’all seem to get excited every year when a new FA WR comes in and it’s never what you think.

Camp hype may not translate as we've seen in the past, but I feel like Jarius becomes a better Cotchery for us.

Torrey plays the Ginn role, Jarius the Cotch role, Funch is Funch...and then we have Moore and (hopefully) Samuel.  Sprinkle in CMC, Olsen, and hopefully Thomas and we haven't had this type of arsenal since Cam has been here.
