I know he could come back this year but it’s better for him just to get the surgery and call it a year. He is a long term asset and we need to treat him like one.

It's best that he takes the whole season to recuperate and rebuild. If he rehabs well, they'll still offer him big bucks.

Good new is that MCL sprains do not require surgery. Depending on how bad the patellar dislocation is, he can rehab and be back in 8-10 weeks

Knee cap dislocation does not necessarily mean tears

Torn MCL sometimes goes along with torn meniscus.

If just torn MCL, he will miss half the season.  Probably not bring him back if we are sucking, if we are doing well, then might bring him along

I definitely see Williams trying to get back as soon a possible because a huge pay check is on the line. Side note I really wish he didn’t change his stance this season because that's probably what caused it.

For his own benefit, he should get the surgery. If he rehabs, he'll still be gimped and he'll get the surgery in the off-season anyway, while being a free agent.
