It's not just Jake man, its not. If you watch the game again you will see. Our route running, pass blocking, Jake's throws, everything is bad in the passing game. Safeties aren't turned around they are watching the QB, thats why they are getting such good breaks on the ball. They are able to do that because all you have to do is double smitty, no one else is beating you deep. Jake has made some really good throws the last 2 weeks, its not like Jamarcus Russell where is he is consistently making bad throws to wide open receivers. Yes Jake is making some bad decisions, but most are under duress. He is not a great quarterback, but IT'S NOT ALL HIM.

Alright valid point - and to be honest I cant predict if thats ever going to get better since we still did it against two of the worst teams. Especially with what seems like a disgruntuled locker room. But going back to the threads topic. Davidson has to go?? Really... (and i'm not sayin you agreed with this) but Davidson might be the sole purpose we found our identity again on offense. 15 out of 16 plays were runs to steal the W. If we stick with this formula, limit Jakes throws ( *cough* liability) then maybe thats enough to compete this season. We got away from the run in the Arizona and Eagles game in the 1st quarter....If we bring it back this offense should be fine again.

I could even make the argument that Davidson's playcalling is vanilla to some of you because Jake cant make the throws, the decison and the execution like Manning, Brady, Brees, Warner, Hasselbeck, Rivers, Cutler, Orton, Romo, Johnson, Edwards, Henne, Flacco, Palmer, Big Ben, Anderson, Quinn, Collins, Young, Scwaub, Hill...get the point? We have Jake fudgin Delhomme as our QB!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jake got away with throwing jump balls to Smitty last year because of the teams we faced. If Davidson had any confidence in Jake he would have thrown the ball more on the last drive. (The one time he did throw he checked off and threw a "smoke route" to Smitty.Then watch after the 2 minute warning Davidson shaking his head to Jake, like saying dont ever do that again.) Jake is the only reason this game was even close.
