This guy was good at first, but his playcalling sucks. I hate to be negative after a great win, but really this guy is losing it. When ever we only pass 17 times in a game, it's no secret what we are going to do. NFL averages around maybe 60 plays or so for each team, so when only 17 of them are passes, that means playcalling is horrible. That is a run, run, pass scenerio right there.

Yea people put all the blame on Jake, but really, when he is back to pass, coaches put all the pressure on him to get Smith the ball. Most of Jake's passes are on 3rd downs anyway, so it's not like there is a secret to our playcalling. Jake is pressured to get the ball to smith, when teams double and triple cover the guy, and it's simply not possible. Jake and Steve have a great connection, but it's one of those situations that you cannot force your qb to throw it to him when he only gets 17 attempts to.

Point blank Davidson needs to get Jake the ball more on first and second downs. Either that or put him in the hurry up offense so Jake can really take over the game. He is one of the best at running the hurry up because that's where he is most comfortbable with making adjustments. It's pretty obvious that Jake isn't comfortable on the field with the way playcalling is. I know it's his job to throw the ball well, but dam, you can't expect everything to go right when he only gets so many tries.

Davidson, or Fox, whoever is calling the plays, come up with better playcalling to get our elite players into the game. Smith and rosario especially.

I agree, I think this guy doesn't know what he's doing. We are in 3rd and long so often it's ridiculous.

Of course no one will ask Fox about that, they'd rather ask is Muhammad a legit #2 receiverm despite leading the team in receptions. (would love to know what moron asked that)

I wished we wouldnt have passed at all! When you rush for 267 Yds, why do you put the game into "Shakey Jakes" hands? Its not Davidson its Jake, thats the reason we were 3rd and long. Davidson will probably leave after this year anyway because Jake is here to stay. Why is it always the OC not the QB?

we've already established that delhomme sucks, but i'm not letting that be an excuse for anyone else. smith and muhammad can get more separation, the oline can block longer and the offensive coordinator can be less predictable

If you dont have a passing game then you have became.... predictable! Its not the OC, receivers or O-line, its Jake. This is the same team that put up record team numbers last year(rushing offense). What do you want him to do let Jake throw? Hell I cringed everytime he dropped back and said WTF are you doing? I dont think you've established Jake sucks, are you John Fox?

Yeah, your talkin about the tape where Delhomme stars down Smith wide open on the sideline for 5 seconds and then throws it away. Deep balls have been mistimed by Delhomme otherwise its Smitty doing his thing. Its a long season baller, not everything caughts on instantly, even our running game has its times.

It's not just Jake man, its not. If you watch the game again you will see. Our route running, pass blocking, Jake's throws, everything is bad in the passing game. Safeties aren't turned around they are watching the QB, thats why they are getting such good breaks on the ball. They are able to do that because all you have to do is double smitty, no one else is beating you deep. Jake has made some really good throws the last 2 weeks, its not like Jamarcus Russell where is he is consistently making bad throws to wide open receivers. Yes Jake is making some bad decisions, but most are under duress. He is not a great quarterback, but IT'S NOT ALL HIM.
