Panthers Sign UDFA TE Cam Serigne

He was a poor blocker as a freshman, but by his senior year, he got pretty good at it.   Not great, but better.

He came in as a smallish te (6-3 and 220 lbs), and struggled to block.  He tried to put on some weight, went overboard and got up to 255.  The extra weight caused an injury, so he slimmed down to about 245, and became a much more complete player in his senior year.  The thing that I think will keep him from being a nfl tight end is his speed, or lack thereof.  But I am glad the Panthers are giving him a shot.

Not that I'm disagreeing but IF he can block his speed want be such a big deal. TEs in Norvs system don't have to be burners but run crisp routes and block well.
