Fox may be losing the team

Completely disagree. Jake has done the same thing every year with regard to getting the calls sooner.

Beason back tracked too quickly to make anything of it and Smith has always worn his heart in his sleeve.

Paralysis by analysis at it's best.

If anything, I would say that he lost the team when David Carr was on the field in 2007... this year has been nothing like that. The Philly and Dallas games were rough, but nowhere near that bad.

I think the playcalling is questionable and always has been. We wanted Dan Henning gone and the play calling hasn't changed. We wanted Trg gone and the defense still doesn't get pressure. So somewhere we have to really look at the main problem, and that's John Fox. He won't pull Jake and he is firing coordinators but allowing no changes to his system. SO what gives? I think any coach in the NFL has seen enough out of Jake to know he is done so John will ride him to his firing and I can't say I feel sorry for either one of them.

The defense doesn't get pressure? Have you watched them the last two weeks? I've never seen this defense play harder and it's pretty obvious that they're finally getting adjusted to the new schemes, and the addition of HT and getting Chris Harris back have paid dividends.

As far as the offensive play calling, I agree that it could be a lot better right now, but Fox is not the OC, Davidson is. And I don't remember Fox holding Henning back when he wanted to run the wildcat.

Right now, my personal read is that we are on the low end of average.

That means we can beat the bad teams, though not convincingly.

Against good teams? We can put up a fight, but we can't win.

Again, I'd love to be wrong.

IMO its more to do with coaching then anything else. Our team is almost the same as last year, and we have talent to win ageist anyone. The 2 main problems we face personnel wise right now is poor QB play and not great Pass blocking. If Davidson could figure a way to get atleast one more down field threat besides Smith then we would be alright IMO. Our Scheme on Offense is just lame duck if you as me. We stay 90% of the time in the I-Form. Thats not all a bad thing if we would mix in some 3 WR sets in there or even some single WR sets but we never do. Whatever the problem is its with the coaching because our D has seemed to get better and better every week.

Look who we have played the last two weeks. I'm not saying we haven't improved because we have DRASTICALLY improved but when we play a halfway decent team I'm anxious to see if it continues. The offense is our weakest link this season and as long as Jake is back there I don't see it getting any better.
