Couldn't agree more Mr. Scot. Allow me to expand with this thought.

The only thing I can never wrap my brain around is why certain players at certain positions get their job automatically, while others have to battle at each and every practice just to be activated for gameday. I think it was almost like a parent giving a child an empty threat of punishment by Fox bringing in Feely. If you are going to show your team that everyone, even the starting QB, is accountable for their performance by bringing in a possible replacement, don't hold press conferences saying it doesn't matter how truly horrific your QB is, we won the game.

That right there would lose a ton of respect in my eyes as a player. McNabb is lightyears past Delhomme in every possible way at the QB position, and Reid had balls enough to bench him, and he's been playing at a very high level ever since.

Bench Jake for just one game if you have to. Start Moore or Feely, and if they play poorly and we win, then "It doesn't matter, we won." If they play well and we lose, well then Mr. Fox, earn that check and make a tough decision.

Momentum is a very real thing in sports IMHO. I said in another post that if Moore (or Feely, I don't care) can win some games against some lesser opponents, then it could really give the team some confidence going into some of the powerhouse teams down the stretch, and maybe gives us a chance to steal a few games that we don't have any business winning.

Fisher has certainly lost the Titans. I think that's a team you can look at and say that our team's effort looks a lot different than theirs.

Is it far away from happening? Probably not. I definitely think it's coming, but he hasn't lost them yet.

Maybe it's just me reading into things too much, but as the players were running off of the field on Sunday, I noticed Deangelo Williams (who was a huge part of the win) had the facial expression of someone who had just put the family dog down rather than someone who had scored the game winning touchdown.

Disagree totally. I think you are looking for something that's not there. Team is still playing hard even in losses.

I think its really easy to read to much into things when the team is not playing up to expectations and you lose 3 straight every little thing is magnified. But I don't see it like that

+1 to all that. This team is still trying to put it all together, and the operative phrase there is still trying. That's not the mark of a team that's lost faith in the coach.

If you're disappointed in the Panthers and want to bash them and speculate about who's getting replaced when, go ahead. But don't couch it all behind lofty philosophical thoughts on team spirit. Just bash away, be honest about it. We'll still be here when you get better.

Alabama doesn't have to stay under a Salary Cap. And the topic is not about how good the Panthers are, it's about whether the coach has lost the team. The players are still trying, even when behind, which is exhibit one for the defense--the team still believes in the coaches, even though the fans do not.

I disagree. The Beason comments were blown way out of proportion imo. He basically said he was going to talk to Pep after watching Allen on MNF because he knows Pep can be that kind of impact player and he can have that talk because they respect each other as players and as people. The media and fans reacted like a bunch of teenagers trying to instigate a fight - "ooooooooooooo oh snap!". That's why Beason didn't follow up with comments imo, because he saw how much it got blown up.

And Smith and Delhomme are frustrated of course. Perhaps some can be blamed on playcalling but really they have no one to blame but themselves. It think we're getting to a point of Jake losing the team and some of that may trickle over to Fox, but that's it.

I like to think Beason is smart, so I will chalk it up to being social inexperienced. Any one can make a mistake.

I personally think the mojority of this team love JF and are willing to bust their rumps for them. he hasnt lost this team.

I think the playcalling is questionable and always has been. We wanted Dan Henning gone and the play calling hasn't changed. We wanted Trg gone and the defense still doesn't get pressure. So somewhere we have to really look at the main problem, and that's John Fox. He won't pull Jake and he is firing coordinators but allowing no changes to his system. SO what gives? I think any coach in the NFL has seen enough out of Jake to know he is done so John will ride him to his firing and I can't say I feel sorry for either one of them.

I think guys want to win. Guys that are hungry to win can not tolerate under any circumstances losing. That's why they are at the level they are at. Some folks just go aww shucks and mosey on down the road.

I think the biggest frustration for these guys come from several things we addressed.

The gameplan just doesn't simply set enough players in postion to win. That breeds frustration even if you win.

Point to make here in response to a couple posts: I said "may be losing", not "has lost".

The things I see are red flags of a process, not a result. The process doesn't have to lead to the result.

If they show improvement and are actually competitive or manage to beat good teams, it doesn't have to happen.

If they get pounded by good teams - or worse, lose to a bad team - that's when the real trouble could start.

What you see right now is a leak or two. The dam hasn't burst at this point, but the possibility exists that it could.

Possible. As I said before, I'd like to be wrong on this one.

A lot depends on what happens in the next few weeks.
