Rivera references 200 carries and C-Mac

Per PFT:

"Panthers coach Ron Rivera told ESPN.com he wouldn’t be surprised if McCaffrey reached 200 carries this season. That matches what Rivera said in June, when he said he’s looking forward to seeing McCaffrey run between the tackles more, as he did in college."

I knew that Rivera envisioned more carries, but that's substantially more. As for running between the tackles, I know that Rivera wants to see what C-Mac will do as a pro, but I don't believe that he's going to run C-Mac between the tackles like a workhorse (Enter C.J.).

We're definitely going to see. It kind of sounds like we may use C-Mac as much as possible.

They need to run CMac 200+ times just to see what they've got at this point.

If he can average 4.7 like last 8 games then he should get lotsA carries. 200 carries would be 940 yArds plus 650 in receiving would be pro bowl numbers

Panthers coach Ron Rivera says getting Christian McCaffrey the ball 25-30 times a game would be ‘'ideal.'' He told me during offseason workouts he could see the second-year back getting 200 carries this season after having only 117 a year ago. Obviously big plans for McCaffrey, but Rivera said things still start through Cam Newton.
