NFL's Most Overrated Teams Entering 2018 Training Camp

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2783921-nfls-most-overrated-teams-entering-2018-training-camp#slide1

What they are billed as: A former NFC champ getting back to the things that made them contenders.

What they are: A former NFC champ moving away from the things that made them contenders.

The Panthers are weak at wide receiver, weak in the secondary, old and thin at the pass-rush positions, expensive and ineffective on the offensive line, and coping with suspensions and injury concerns at linebacker. They have turned their offense over to a coordinator in Norv Turner who is likely to nerf their most dynamic players.

It's like people have forgotten that our 15-1 Super Bowl team had a weak OL, WR corps, and secondary too. That secondary was trash outside of Norman, though admittedly Kurt Coleman did have a career year (probably largely due to Norman).

And because of it people actually think that it’s a blueprint for success...

Remind us all again how that season ended?

Stop comparing every roster to the 2015 one. It makes you sound clueless. At least we had Ginn to stretch the field, we don’t even have that anymore. As long as we have Cam there’s always hope every season but god damn, some of you need to realize 2015 was a different kind of special and not a recipe for success.

I agree with everything except for the last sentence.

Our WR are not weak this year by any means. Do we have a sure thing #1 guy? No probably not but Funch is among the top #2s, Moore looks explosive and has tremendous ability to be realized, Smith is a proven deep threat, Wright is a proven reliable 3rd down possession guy, and Samuel and Byrd showed some serious potential last year as well.

Smith is a wayyyyy better deep threat than Ginn and if he can Cam develop good chemistry, watch out.

We won so many games in the clinch, many with Cam pulling miracles out of the air.  Our secondary generating turnovers was key.

That said, we are missing Norman and Oher.  Bradberry and Matt Kalil need to up their games this year.

I feel good with the talent we have added at RB and WR.  I think we have upgraded the secondary over 2016 and 2017 seasons.

I worry about the O-line, we did next to nothing for that this year, excep upgrade OC's.

That's the optimistic homer in you talking. I'm VERY excited for this season but the analysis from the article is a fair unbiased perspective in my opinion.

LOL! Here comes your poor, dumb, over-reactionary, triggered ass.

Did I say it was a blueprint? I was simply pointing out that a former 15-1 Super Bowl team had many of these same weaknesses because this blurb said "A former NFC champ moving away from the things that made them contenders."
