Don’t get me wrong, It’s a nice story. But wasn’t it nice for those cameras to just happened to be there to capture it all....

Just about any company that gives something special will have a photographer there.   Tepper has made it a point that the culture in the Panther organization will change.   These pictures not only give the media something to feed off of but also for the entire organization to see that changes are happening.

It appears quite obvious that Mr. Coleman has been a mainstay for the stadium.  A box of business cards that probably cost a $100.00 bucks (depending on how many) but makes an employee know he is appreciated was perfect.

Stop being so damn nit picky.   This is what I dislike about this forum.  Always someone with some negative comment on a topic that should be filled with Kudos.

Great Job Dave Tepper.

So much I love about this story.  It totally shatters my preconceived idea of what Tepper would be like.  I think of an 11 billion hedge fund guy as being ruthless and cutthroat. (Think Gordon Gekko in Wall Street).  This move by Tepper makes him seem like a great people guy.  Exciting new era ahead!

I actually think he can be both.

To service people like Mr Coleman, Tepper can be nice and respectful because he came from a middle class family background and appreciates how hard they work.

At the same time, Tepper can be demanding of higher ups in the organization and insist that they perform to justify keeping their highly paid positions.

Oh sure. This wasn't meant in any way to suggest that Tepper is soft, or a pushover. I want someone who expects excellence. But it helps when the guy who expects excellence is also someone who cares about people and not just $$$

Agreed. Like with a lot of things, it's about balance.
