Potential Targets left?

Im new to the board in a sense that I havent posted, but I wanna see this Hornets board revitalized.  I like what Kupchak has done so far and would like to throw some scenarios out there since we have a slight bit of room left, Highly encouraged by recent moves, Parker seems like a reach to most Bball fans, but anybody who knows about BB iq knows you need a saavy guy to spell Kemba and occasionally in clutchtime be in there in the crunch, Hes 36, but I think he will bring some good midrange and ability to get to the hole and overall teaching to the young fellas, Hernangomez was a steal for what we got him for, he has the right place at the right time factor as far as rebounding, and the 3 looks halfway decent in summer leauge , he needs  to be more aggressive on defense, but he has the athleticism and heart to be motivated, DeVontae made some passes Ive only seen from top teir guys, but it is Summer League

If there was a dream scenario to where I could see this team going, we have very little wiggle room but I would like to see one of these 3 FA signed, due to their productivity, Mike Beasley would be a nice addition as an off the bench productive player, just need to make sure hes on board with his role, Montrez Harrell can probably be had for a good value signing at this point, undersized but tough and highly effecient and the last guy I would like to see potentially signed although its highly unlikely unless he is up for a player teacher role would be David West, would love to see some of his toughness on this team, yep, hes older, but his 36 per stats and efficiency plus ability to be a mentor would be highly valuable to the group we have.

Just  a thought, I do think we will be playoff competitive as long as Kemba isnt dealt and Lamb gets the 2 spot with Batum at 3

and we have one of the coolest shot Blockers and Charlotte favs  in all of basketball in BIZ Back, even at his crazy tag, he can add some rebounding and shot blocking, put him in Don Beebes school for reflexes and quick twitch fluidity and I think he can improve a bit along with the Mental aspect of his role with Borrego,   Thats my Pipe Dream, of course

Suggestions seem to be frowned upon on this forum it seems by your intellect,  there is a bit of of cliq ness it seems, and that is one of the reasons I didnt really feel encouraged about an intellectual post, but  anyone who studies basketball can look at my post and see its not beyond reality, Shocker, Im gonna give you a pass on this one bit of forum comedy, but Im not a guy named Chuck and I simply am wanting to see some life back in this Hornets Forum as I have followed them since I was a kid, No need for the dipshiz clicky insults, im not who you are trying to insult

Personally I want Monk at the 2 but sure we can push for the playoffs.

I do Think MONK can be a hybrid guard, most of his time should probably be at 2 because of his talent at shooting, but he may need to run the 1 at some points due to foul trouble, but I see him as a 2 as well, Unbelievable shooting range and athleticism

I am so glad you gave me a pass.  I was really worried there.  Thanks

Every move we make from here on out (if we make any) needs to keep in mind next year..

Right now - if we let Lamb, Frank and Kemba expire we will be sitting around 24mil in cap space. I doubt that will be enough to keep Kemba. I wish we could keep Lamb as well, but this could get interesting. We have to move one of 5 BIG Fuggin Contracts (BFC): MKG, Zeller, Marvin, Batum or Biz to generate some cap room before Kemba starts getting offers. If we trade away Frank or Lamb's expiring's this year for help (aka Kevin Love or whomever) we will have nothing really to offer Kemba.

I think the smart thing is to let the contracts expire and try to move one (or two) of the 5 BFCs next season.

Right now our lineup is pretty decent. Probably the best we have been since the Courtney Lee & Jeremy Lin team:
PG - Kemba - Parker
SG - Lamb - Monk - Bacon
SF - Batum - MKG - Bridges
PF - Marvin - Frank
C - Zeller - Biz - Willy

If what we heard is correct - and Borrego wants Frank to move to play Center - We HAVE TO move Zeller or Biz for cap space.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

The Real Key is just having a successful season This year. Kemba will get all warm and fuzzy if we have a playoff run in us. Also - the higher we go - the lower our 1st round pick will be next year. If we make the playoffs - attaching a lower 1st round draft pick to MKG and/or Zeller will allow us to shed their contracts easier via trading them away. If we fug it all up and are in the lottery again - we surly will lose Kemba, and NEED to keep that pick to really start the rebuilding process. The saying Winning cures all - has never applied more to us this year.

I would really hate to lose Lamb. We will see how he does this year but his improvement over the last two seasons is significant enough for him to keep a place on this team. He has starter potential, and it's a shame that 3 of our higher contracts in Batum, Marvin and MKG all should not be in the starting lineup.

I'm not as interested in any remaining free agents as I believe with good coaching and motivation, we have the talent to be in the top 5 of the east this coming season. Not that I dont want us to improve, but concerning cap space and the future, Im not sure anyone out there brings much more.

2018 --------------------------------------- 2015
PG: Kemba - Parker ---------------- PG: Kemba - J.Lin
SG: Lamb - Monk - Bacon ------- SG: Batum - C.Lee
SF: Batum - MKG - Bridges ----- SF: MKG - Lamb (before he blossomed)
PF: Marvin - Frank ------------------ PF: Marvin - Hawes
C: Zeller - Biz - Willy ---------------- C: Jefferson - Zeller

Ima go out on a limb and say our current roster looks better than we were in 2015.
PG is equal, SG is about equal, SF is much better, PF is better, C is better

We really don't have any money or really any more space for additions unless there is a trade or clear upgrade (which we won't find at this point in free agency).

I'm assuming we used the majority of our MLE on Parker but there may be a few million left. We also may have the bi-annual, but I'm unsure of that.

Signing soneone just to sign someone seems pointless to me.

I like Beasley but he wouldn't see time over Marv or Frank. Harrell is in a similar situation, who would he play over? West I could see as he is from NC, but he's been ring chasing the past few years; I doubt that changes.

If any signings are made I could see it being a direct reflection of an injury (i.e. Graham).
