Gantt's right, of course.  The guy who crafted the NDAs that kept Richardson's misdeeds hush hush (and then failed to report them to the league) was pretty much dead meat, especially after Tepper said "no NDAs on my watch".

I forget who, but one expert explained that in doing so, Thigpen basically did what should have been personal business for Jerry Richardson while acting as counsel for the Panthers, which would be a no-no.

Firing Thigpen might also help prevent the Panthers from having to suffer any league imposed penalties for his actions.

Wouldn't surprise me if the lawyer who handled the sale from Tepper's end got first crack at replacing Thigpen.

So that's two down from the old regime.  Wonder if there'll be more.
